Pollinating London Together is an independent charity with its roots starting 5 years ago and initiated by two livery companies. Its objectives are: To reverse the decline of urban pollinators through the creation of pollinator-friendly habitats in the City and its surroundings, to raise awareness of the value pollinators bring to human well-being and inspire businesses and residents alike to act, and to promote biodiversity as a vital part of these environments.
It was in this context that PLT connected with Q&S. We have been impressed by the approach that Q&S takes to planting/soft landscaping with an emphasis on perennials and providing a habitat which, where possible, is relatively undisturbed whilst providing good forage for the range of pollinators. In addition, managing director, Sue Payne has helped to make connections to other areas in the City of London where we have been able to assist with surveying pollinators and habitat. She has joined our Education Working Group where she is an active and valued participant.

Quality and Service have been a valued service partner at Beaufort House since October 2019. Q&S redesigned the Piazza area at the front of the building and Roof Terrace at Level 3 with a sustainable plant base, featuring changes to seasonal planting bringing the landscaping to life, with a focus on providing a bio-diverse environment in The City of London. The hard work and dedication of the Q&S team has resulted in numerous awards and trophies, as well as positive feedback from both occupiers & members of the public, improving the quality of space for all.

Q&S have carried out both our external and internal gardening contracts on site since September 2001. They are a reliable pro-active company who have always provided a good calibre of staff on site.

I worked directly with Q&S for several years in previous roles. Both at Here East and Battersea Power Station. The commitment from the onsite teams and the senior management to sustainability and best practice made the management of these complex landscaping schemes extremely straightforward. One item in particular that sets Q&S apart from the competition is their willingness to engage directly with the original landscape architects for both schemes.
This was extremely refreshing and demonstrated that they were willing to go the extra mile and to commit resources (above and beyond the ‘contract’) to ensuring that they delivered on the vision for the schemes to the letter. They did not simply do the bare contractual minimum and keep the plants alive and pretty. They aligned their work practices and schedules with the existing landscape strategies in order to help us meet and exceed our sustainability targets for both flora and the fauna that make the landscaping their home. I would not hesitate to recommend Q&S on the grounds of cost, value for money, stakeholder engagement, ecological awareness and an unwavering commitment to customer service and cutting edge industry practice.

CBRE have been working with Q&S for numerous years, so when our client Fidelity International asked us in 2021 to take over their Landscaping in the UK, we immediately approached Q&S.
